  • For someone held at the Marion County Detention Center, use the county Current Inmates and Releases page, the Mobile Patrol or VINE feed named by the county booking page, and the jail inmate records guide.
  • For booking photos, start with the county roster and the jail roster mugshots page, then use FOIA if the photo is not posted.
  • For charges filed after booking, use the Marion County Public Index, the Clerk of Court, the Magistrates Office, and the court records after a jail arrest page.
  • For facility-specific information, review the Marion County Detention Center and Marion County Prison Camp pages listed in the footer.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the South Carolina Department of Corrections incarcerated inmate search. SCDC is separate from the county jail roster.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Those tools do not list ordinary Marion County jail detainees.
